The Epidemic Prevention and Control—JISU Comprehensively Guarantees Logistics Service

The important task for the JISU Logistics Service Center is to fight against the epidemic and ensure students and teachers have what they need to live a healthy lifestyle. According to the unified deployment of JISU, the School Logistics Service Center formulated a work plan, and carried out efficient measures to ensure a stable life for students and teachers.

Disinfecting the Tableware

Cleaning the Dining Hall Floor

To ensure the diet safety of teachers and students, canteen ventilation and tableware disinfection are required daily for the Logistics Service Center staff. The canteen hall is ventilated once in the morning and then again in the evening; the interior and exterior of the restaurants are sterilized 4 times a day, and the dining area is sterilized using ultraviolet radiation in the evening. In addition, the tableware, dishware, disinfection cabinet and chopstick sterilizer are thoroughly sterilized after each meal. A disinfection floor mat has also been placed at the entrance of the canteen, which is disinfected in real time, effectively preventing bacteria on the soles of teachers and students from entering the dining hall.

Notice Board at the Food-fetching Area

To raise the awareness of students and teachers, the Logistics Service Center formulated strict standards from entering the canteen to having meals and created a notice board as a reminder of the good habits of the epidemic prevention and control. Firstly, anyone who does not wear a mask is not allowed to enter the canteen. Masks are banned from being taken off before having meals, and masks should be worn as soon as the meal is finished. Secondly, queuing for meals is not suggested. The distance between two persons must be over 1.5 meter. The third is to prohibit dining face to face or adjacent and talking during meals. The Center arranges its staff to supervise the dining order. Moreover, for those Chinese and international professors who eat in their homes and students staying on campus, the Center provides them with vegetables and fruits of quality assurance to ensure they are safe during this time.

Separately Having Meals

The school hospital acts as the frontal line for the epidemic prevention and control of JISU. According to the school requirements, the hospital is open 24-hours  and is always ready to work. The hospital prepares sufficient necessary medicines, masks, thermometers, etc. with the purchasing department, and distributes protective equipment to the teachers and students staying at the school. Hospital staff test and report daily the health condition of the teachers and students. The hospital also distributes disinfection medicines to crowded places such as student dormitories and canteen, and guides relevant personnel to do disinfection three times a day. Finally, they require the staff of service departments such as the canteen, student apartments, and security personnel and cleaners to wear masks.

“Since the beginning of the epidemic prevention and control, we have tried our best to guarantee the logistics service. Two of the canteen workers hadn’t even had a break since the winter holiday started. After the epidemic outbreak, they proactively continued their work in offering food to avoid the infection risk brought by personnel flow.” Sun Bin, Director of the Center, said, “Our task is to obey orders and shoulder our duty in epidemic prevention and control. President Qin He attaches great importance to the logistics service and comes to the canteen and school hospital to give specific instructions many times, which makes us feel a sense of responsibility. Under our school leadership, we have strong confidence that we will win this fight against the epidemic to protect our campus.”
