Ⅰ. President Qin He was appointed a member of the Expert Committee of Undergraduate Education and Teaching Evaluation of the Ministry of Education and was elected as Vice Chairman of Jilin provincial Women’s Federation. She initiated The Proposal on Formulating Yangtze River Protection Law, which was listed as the first proposal of the second session of the 13^th National People's Congress.

Ⅱ. The 2019 Chinese and Foreign Universities Principal Forum and the opening ceremony of JISU was launched. Many leaders attended the meeting, including: leaders and officials of the Ministry of Education, provincial and municipal governments, Chinese and overseas experts and scholars in education, heads of embassies and consulates of 11 countries in China, principals of 114 universities, and leaders of international education institutes. Over 1, 000 alumni from all over the world and about 10, 000 students and teachers joined in the gala.

Ⅲ. JISU received a positive evaluation from experts of the Jilin province after a successful return visit to review the improvements of its undergraduate education. JISU was praised by the expert panel with “Five Merits”.

IV. The First Party Branch of Chinese Communist Party (CPC) was rated as the model of nationwide party building work. JISU was labeled as a demonstrative university for the Jilin provincial party building work.

V. JISU established the International Culture and Tourism School, International Art School, and Continuing Education School. In addition to these changes, we added Polish and Czech languages to our undergraduate programs. Many of our programs received high recognition for their excellence and quality. Our program of English language is listed as a first-class undergraduate discipline at the national level. Five programs were upgraded as Jilin provincial first class undergraduate education programs. Three programs were permitted as Transformation Development Demonstration Groups, and four courses were approved as Jilin provincial Golden Course Construction Programs.

VI. JISU was rated as the advanced unit of scientific research work in Jilin Province, and two major projects were approved by the Ministry of Education. It ranks the third place in the whole provincial universities for getting six programs of social science organized by the Ministry of Education. It has four newly approved higher education research bases in Jilin Province.

VII. JISU joined the Global Alliance of Foreign Language Universities and the China-Japan Cultural Exchange University Alliance. In addition, it became one of the “Chinese-African Friendship” Chinese Government Scholarship Training Institutes. Also, the 2019 International Exchange Program for Excellent Undergraduate was approved by China Scholarship Council, and its first “Confucius Class” was launched in the United States of America.

VIII. JISU became one of the Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Demonstration Bases in Jilin Province. Our students’ entrepreneurship programs won the national silver medal and six Jilin provincial gold medals in the Chinese “Internet +” College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. They also won the gold medal in the 6^th “Youth Creation” Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of Jilin Province.

IX. JISU was approved as a demonstration center of higher education for teaching development in Jilin province. Zhang Mi, a teacher of JISU, was rated as “Senior Translator” in China. Teachers of JISU, Liu Mengke and Liu Yang, won third place in the 2019 Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press (FLTRP) Multilingual “Teaching Star” Contest of China. Teacher Xu Chunyang won the first prize in the 8th National Interpretation Competition in Jilin Province, achieving three consecutive championships. Lin Xiangshu won first place in the first Undergraduate Intelligence Classroom Teaching Innovation Competition of Jilin province. Scientific research programs directed by Wang Zhiguo and Jin Yanjun were sponsored by international institutes.

X. Students won a variety of honors. Su Kewei was honored with “Top Ten College Students” and “Youth Pioneer of Changchun in New Era”. Other honors include: the first place in the 14^th Chinese Preschool Teacher Vocational Skills Competition, the second place in the 12^th National College French Speech Contest, the second prize of the Second National College Chinese-Arabic Literature Translation Contest, the first prize of the Fourth Korean Speech Contest among College Students in Three Provinces of Northeast China, and the first prize, second prize and third prize in Chinese Interpretation Contest Rematch of Jilin Province. There were also several championships, including: the women's volleyball championship in the Jilin Provincial College Student Volleyball Championship, the women’s basketball championship in the Jilin Provincial College Student Basketball Championship, the women's team championship of the Jilin Provincial Student Badminton Championship and a good grade in the 29^th World University Winter Games. Cai Xue, an alumna of JISU, who is a special labor model of Jilin province, was received twice by Premier Li Keqiang and delivered a report on her entrepreneurship to Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chunlan. Another alumna of JISU, Wang Dandan was awarded with “12^th University Graduates Top Ten Entrepreneurship Pioneers” in Jilin Province.
