Recently, the certification work of the Third Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Demonstration Bases in Jilin Province has been completed. The Innovation and Entrepreneurship base of JISU has been approved as one of the Third Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Demonstration Bases in Jilin Province.
The election was hosted by Jilin Provincial Development and Reform Committee, Provincial Department of Education, Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Provincial Human Resource and Social Security. 10 bases have been approved in total.
Relying on the 8,000-square-meter Shiqiao Hall, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship base of JISU hopes to utilize its foreign language disciplines, majors’ advantages and “multilingual translation” characteristics. Its aim is to cultivate comprehensive "multilingual translation" application, by compounding extroverted, high-level talents with both international vision and patriotism. It also plans to become a national innovation and entrepreneurship base which integrates education, practice, research, communication and incubation. It hopes to be an incubation base for projects in foreign languages service regions and a demonstrative base for cultivating high-level innovation and entrepreneurship talents.
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship base of JISU will establish a platform of integration of industries, universities and research that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship talents through the cooperation between the university and the industry. We will build an extroverted, high-level and high-standard global exchange center by strengthening international communication and cooperation. We will enhance achievement transformation, foster high-level faculties to promote regional economy through constructing “five in one” (the integration of education, practice, research, communication and incubation) innovation and entrepreneurship platform. We will optimize our talents cultivation programs, integrate innovation and entrepreneurship education into the whole chain of talents cultivation. We will also foster students’ innovative spirit, entrepreneurial awareness and entrepreneurship ability so as to help the students to get high-quality jobs and improve their entrepreneurship.
