On June 13th, Klara Jurcova, Deputy Head of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in China, led a delegation of four people to visit JISU. Personnel from the Foreign Affairs Office of Jilin Province attended the event. Wang Jie, Vice-President and Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, and related personnel received the visitors.
The delegation visited the Global Village--Practice Teaching Center for International Languages and Culture, the library and the International Exchange Center. They spoke highly of JISU’s educational policy of “all for the sake of students to become successful and helpful citizens.” They were also impressed by our policy of providing a very responsible education to cultivate inter-disciplinary, international, highly-qualified individuals.
Both sides held educational cooperation talks in the conference room in the International Exchange Center. Klara Jurcova expressed her willingness to cooperate with JISU in the construction of a Czech Village in the Global Village, the development of a Czech major, and the increase of changes between JISU and Czech universities. She offered some practical suggestions in this regard. In the end, she sincerely invited JISU to participate in related activities such as “One Day for Czech” at the Northeast Asia Expo, “China-Czech Cooperation Forum” and “Studying Abroad in Czech” held in Beijing.
This talk was an important step in strengthening relations with the Czech people in terms of education which will play an important role in expanding international exchange and cooperation.
