The First Class Innovation Management Case Selection Was Held

On the afternoon of April 15th, in order to fully improve the working efficiency of student management, make innovations in the work of Student Affairs, and promote the professionalization of the counselor team, our school held the First Class Innovation Management Case Selection in the conference hall on the fourth floor of the library.

24 counselors from nine schools gave detailed reports on their cases for making innovations in class management. In accordance with principles of integrating innovative teaching ideas with teaching assignments, taking the educational law and changes in students’ growth into consideration, and identifying problems in their daily work, they all presented distinctive plans for class management to teachers and students present. Later, heads from the School of Marxism, Admission and Employment Office, and Psychological Health Education Guidance Center evaluated all these plans. In the end, the case, Management in Small Groups Bonds the Class Together, made by Ren Xueyan, the director of the student affairs office of the School of Chinese, won first prize. Moreover, she will attend the second China Private Universities Case Evaluation and Selection of Class Innovative Management as the representative of JISU.

Professor Shi Wanqing, the Dean of the School of Marxism, made summary remarks. She expressed her wishes that all counselors, in their future work, should explore innovative methods in management work and get rid of old-fashioned ideas in the new era of rapid development of science and technology. Moreover, they need to streamline management methods and be more accurate. As for innovative methods, they should have a reflective consciousness and put much emphasis on the effects of feasibility and practicality.

This year is a crucial one for JISU to improve our counselors’ professional ability. This event is a major part of our activities aimed at improving innovations in the work of student management, through which Student Affairs will further enhance innovation awareness and explore new models. In this context, our counselors can create new projects and became more mature through continuous work, which will then enrich student management. Our goal is to build a high-level staff team that excels in student management, has strong innovation awareness and good comprehensive quality.
